Marprelate Matrix

Thanks to reader Jeremy Jones for pointing us to Martin Marprelate’s take on Reloaded. It’s a good attempt (though we’re still dubious) at addressing many of the internal consistency questions in the film. For example, he discusses why “those two maligned scenes—involving the cake and the kiss—are so necessary to the film, for they expose—in a visceral manner that the Architect’s speech can only render as dry logos—the complete failure of any of the machines’ attempts to grasp emotion and choice.” (The Marprelate Tracts, May 19, 2003)
