I’d also mention that this authorial versimilitude is probably due much less to Disney and much more to Gore Verbinski, who also did Rango and The Ring, both suffused with enough supernatural double meanings to fill yet more articles. And he’s doing The Lone Ranger, where the trailer line is “There come a time, kemosabe, when good men must wear mask.”

Not sure but I got this movie used for next to nothing. Did it suck? Meh. Pirate movies are pretty cool no matter which way you want to slice it. It helps that I have a decent hdtv. I was looking at getting an internet enabled tv aka smart tv or even just a smart tv box for streaming movies from Netflix.
